The liturgy for each service type

Updated on 21 de September, 2026

The liturgy is a service type's template: the structure that repeats every week. It doesn't hold what gets preached each Sunday — that's each service's content — only the skeleton.

How to get there

From the program's ⋯ menu, go into Liturgies.

Building the structure

  • Add moment: title (required), role (for example Worship), estimated duration in minutes, and two marks: Requires someone assigned (counts toward coverage) and Teaching of the Word (its themes and passages go into the Teaching history).
  • Add divider (in the ⋯ menu): a section title (Opening, Ministry) with an optional color. It doesn't carry anyone in charge.
  • Reorder by dragging from the handle on the left, or with the keyboard arrows while the handle has focus. The order saves on its own.
  • Edit opens the moment; you also delete it from there.

Other service types

To give a liturgy to another event type (a youth service, for example), use Add liturgy in the ⋯ menu and pick the type.

Group meetings can't have a liturgy: they belong to each group, not to the church's program.

When you change the template

Changing the template doesn't alter the services you've already opened. For them to pick it up:

  • Re-apply to services, in the Liturgies ⋯ menu, reaches future services.
  • Re-apply liturgy, on a service's record, does it for that one only.

In both cases the people in charge and the content already loaded are kept. The Teaching mark is the exception: it syncs on its own across all services, past ones included.

Next step

With the structure ready, it's time to assign who's in charge of each moment.
