Children and teens

Updated on 06 de June, 2026

The little ones are part of your church too. Domo treats them with special care, both in their details and in protecting their information.

When you enter the date of birth, Domo shows whether the person is a minor

Domo recognizes minors

When you enter the date of birth, Domo calculates the age and tells you (for example, "15 years · minor"). If they're under 18, it automatically marks them as a minor.

On their record you'll see Minor: Yes.

Fields that appear for minors

When you add a minor, the form adds fields made for them:

  • Father and Mother — to link them with their guardians (search for them in the directory).
  • A consent checkbox: "I have the guardian's consent to record the minor's data and photo".

Only check consent when you actually have it. It's how you protect children's privacy and respect their families.

The two minor stages

  • Non-professing minor — has not yet made a profession of faith.
  • Professing minor — has already made a profession of faith.

The practical difference: a professing minor can serve in a ministry; a non-professing minor doesn't yet show as eligible.

A tip

Link children to their parents and, when the time comes, update their stage. That way you walk with their growth in the church, step by step.
